One of the most iconic Avant-garde composers in America naming Jon Hassell who was the maker of the masterpiece of the global-minded naming “fourth world” has died at the age of 84 years, it has been stated by his family in a statement that the “iconic trumpet player who has been an author and composer throughout his career has died on 26th June in the early hours as they further stated that this has happened after a year of health complications that he was fighting out.

In the year 2020, Hassell managed to break his leg as he was in one of the recording studios and then he had to spend 4 months in the hospital after the incident as he was diagnosed with coronavirus. His family has also stated that he was a person who cherished his life and was someone who wanted to live more as he had so much to share in the world of music, writing, and philosophy and they further stated that the biggest joy that he used to find was through composing music which he did until the end of days.
Hassel debut album was Vernal Equinox which came in the year 1978 and at that time he stated that his vision that he called as fourth world aesthetic as he described his vision or music as futuristic/primitive and called it as the sound combining features of ethnic styles with having advanced electronic techniques which is a lot if you consider the time when he was having such a vision.
Just shows the caliber that the individual possessed but he has left us and we will not be able to hear his amazing music which he still wanted to share with the world but there is no denying that fact that his work is going to stay with the people who are in love with his music and it seems like that he is going to be really missed by the fans as he was one of the pioneers when it comes to the music industry and there is no question about his immortality as he is going to be staying in the hearts of the fans who are going to listen to his music for a lifetime and are going to pass the amazing music to the coming generations.
