Indu Jain was a well-known Indian entrepreneur and social activist. In 1983, she worked as the founder president of the FICCI Ladies Organization. In 1999, she was appointed as the chairperson of the Bharatiya Jnanpith Trust which was founded by her father-in-law, Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain, in 994. The trust was established to promote literature in Indian languages. She founded ‘Times Foundation’ trust in 2002 to support various community services, operate a research foundation, and manage relief funds. In 2003, she helped in starting ‘Oneness Forum’ to promote unity in the world. She then worked as the chairperson of one of the largest media groups in India ‘Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd’ also known as the Times Group. As per various media sources, she had a deep knowledge of many ancient scriptures.
